It’s been a few months since we updated our rankings as we allowed the NFL Draft and some last-minute free agent moves to settle into each of the league’s cities. As workouts continue and the summer heats up, these rankings will likely shuffle often. Make sure you check RealGM’s NFL page often for updates as fantasy football leagues around the world begin to form.

Quarterbacks

1. Tom Brady, NE – It’s hard to pick anyone else right now.
2. Peyton Manning, IND – When’s the last time he wasn’t No. 1?
3. Tony Romo, DAL – A steep drop off after Tom and Peyton.
4. Ben Roethlisberger, PIT – Under the radar this offseason.
5. Drew Brees, NO – Could easily slide up or down.
6. Matt Hasselbeck, SEA – The running game has been solved.
7. Marc Bulger, STL – 2007 was an aberration, right?
8. Carson Palmer, CIN – A solid starter no matter who’s in town.
9. Eli Manning, NYG – A very intriguing option post-Super Bowl.
10. David Garrard, JAX – He won’t lose games for you, or the Jags.
11. Derek Anderson, CLE – You’ll see him rated higher elsewhere.
12. Donovan McNabb, PHI – Injures and receivers are annual issues.
13. Jay Cutler, DEN – Will Marshall be at full strength?
14. Philip Rivers, SD – Showed incredible fire late last season.
15. Jason Campbell, WSH – ’08 could be a breakout year.
16. Jeff Garcia, DET – The sun is setting, but he’s not done.
17. Vince Young, TEN – Too many interceptions to rank any higher.
18. Matt Schaub, HOU – Looked great when healthy last season.
19. Jake Delhomme, CAR – A rejuvenated set of receivers.
20. Jeff Garcia, TB – If he’s still playing, he’ll be solid.
21. Aaron Rodgers, GB – A nice safety net of talent around him.
22. Matt Leinart, ARI – It’s his “job” to lose, supposedly.
23. Tarvaris Jackson, MIN – Should be on a short leash.
24. JaMarcus Russell, OAK – Will the experiment begin well?
25. Brodie Croyle, KC – Has a nice target in Dwayne Bowe.

Running Backs

1. LaDainian Tomlinson, SD – Could be his last season as No. 1.
2. Adrian Peterson, MIN – Can he overcome more defensive attention?
3. Brian Westbrook, PHI – Philly didn’t add a marquee WR.
4. Joseph Addai, IND – Silently an offensive leader in Indianapolis.

7. Clinton Portis, WSH – The Skins need to run more often.
8. Frank Gore, SF – Last year will scare many owners off.

23. Michael Turner, ATL – Should be intriguing in Atlanta.
24. Reggie Bush, NO – Has a few critics to quiet this season.

32. Jonathan Stewart, CAR – How many carries will he grab?
33. Adrian Peterson, CHI – His gig now that Cedric is gone?

36. Kevin Smith, DET – This rookie could start in Motown.
37. Dominic Rhodes, IND – Back in Indy and Addai will need some rest.
38. Justin Fargas, OAK – They’ll need to lean on him early at least.
39. Jerious Norwood, ATL – Will earn either more or less carries.
40. Felix Jones, DAL – Jerry Jones will make sure he plays.

Wide Receivers

1. Randy Moss, NE – A man resurrected.
2. Terrell Owens, DAL – Seems to have matured, for now.
3. Reggie Wayne, IND – Has finally, without-a-doubt, surpassed Marvin.
4. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI – Would be all-world on a better team.
5. Torry Holt, STL – So consistent for so long, that he’s old.
6. Chad Johnson, CIN – I have a feeling he’s going to explode.
7. Braylon Edwards, CLE – Needs Anderson to continue to improve.
8. Plaxico Burress, NYG – No longer overrated.
9. Wes Welker, NE – Even higher if you get points for receptions.
10. T.J. Houshmandzadeh, CIN – Let’s hope everyone stays healthy.
11. Roy Williams, DET – Poised for a breakout for the Lions, or someone else.
12. Marques Colston, NO – There are a bevy of options for Brees.

21. Marvin Harrison, IND – He is Marvin Harrison after all.
22. Chris Chambers, SD – A full season with Chargers…
23. Calvin Johnson, DET – ‘Year Two’ should be more successful.
24. Santonio Holmes, PIT – One of those coveted third-year WRs.
25. Lee Evans, BUF – Underrated, with a dash of a weak cast.
26. Javon Walker, OAK – Will he breakout for his third team?
27. Donald Driver, GB – A veteran safety net for Rodgers.
28. Kevin Curtis, PHI – Seemed to have chemistry with McNabb.
29. Justin Gage, TEN – Could be Young’s favorite target.
30. Donte’ Stallworth, CLE – Fourth team in four years.
31. Jericho Cotchery, NYJ – Is he the Jets’ No. 1?
32. Lavernues Coles, NYJ – Or could it still be Coles.
33. Bobby Engram, SEA – Hasselbeck needs him to play like he’s young.
34. Bryant Johnson, ARI – Boldin or Fitzgerald seem to always get injured.
35. D.J. Hackett, CAR – Was he promised a No. 2 gig, or not?
36. Patrick Crayton, DAL – Ready to be T.O.’s second-in-command?
37. Anthony Gonzalez, IND – Reprising the role of Brandon Stokley?
38. Joey Galloway, TB – A must have for AARP leagues.
39. Santana Moss, WSH – Too inconsistent for my blood.
40. Roddy White, ATL – Hopefully he’ll reach out to Matt Ryan.

Tight Ends

1. Antonio Gates, SD – It’s his spot until No. 2 or 3 outright dominate.
2. Jason Witten, DAL – Romo has made him a legitimate stud.
3. Kellen Winslow, CLE – Could very well be No. 1.
4. Chris Cooley, WSH – Washington must use him right this season.
5. Tony Gonzalez, KC – Still alive and catchin’.
6. Dallas Clark, IND – Will always be a solid option in Indy.
7. Todd Heap, BAL – Alright, Todd…you’d better stay healthy.
8. Heath Miller, PIT – I keep thinking he’s going to breakout.
9. Vernon Davis, SF – Was on track for a breakout before injures in 2007.
10. Alge Crumpler, TEN – Should thrive with Young in Tennessee.

12. Benjamin Watson, NE – I just wish his production was more consistent.
13. Randy McMichael, STL – I still like him in St. Louis.
14. L.J. Smith, PHI – Shape up, or ship out L.J.
15. Donald Lee, GB – Let’s hope we’ll get those six touchdowns again.

Kickers

1. Stephen Gostkowski, NE – The kicker of the league’s highest-scoring O.
2. Phil Dawson, CLE – In addition to a steady leg, he’s getting more XP.
3. Nick Folk, DAL – The NFC’s best offense means a ton of chances.
4. Adam Vinatieri, IND – Can you bet against him?
5. Shayne Graham, CIN – He’ll depend on the rest of the Bengals in ’08.
6. Neil Rackers, ARI – He still has that killer leg.
7. Rod Bironas, TEN – Enjoyed a terrific year in 2007.
8. Josh Brown, STL – Great kicker, suspect location.
