His body is insinuating …”Keep moving BUS!”, but his mind is saying, “Don’t disservice …one more championship, just one more.”

The 33-year-old, nine-year veteran running back contemplates the fact of retirement.

After considering retirement, Jerome “The Bus” Bettis, running-back for the Pittsburg Steelers, came to the conclusion to continue playing football for the Pittsburg Steelers.

Signining a renegotiated contract for about $1.5 million in 2005, ensured that Jerome Bettis, will play for at least one more season.

Bettis, set a June 1 deadline of intentions to return to the Steelers camp or not.

Seemingly, … Bettis, is supposed to remain back up to Duce Staley .

Jerome Bettis, led the Steelers with 941 yards rushing last season, only to start in the place of Duce Staley after missing six games with excrutiating injuries in his first season with Pittsburg.

Jerome Bettis, retains his prolific stats at number five on the NFL’s top five list of all-time leading rushers with 13,294 yards.

Coach Bill Cowler, accentuated that, “Jerome is very receptive to the younger players on his team – you know what your getting on Sunday’s and I have an enormous amount of respect for his passion of the game – although, there are no assurances, weather he’d return – we’ll just await to remain open minded about the situation.”
