After trading the most dominant reciever in the NFL to the Oakland Raiders this past off-season, the Minnesota Vikings are out to prove that they are still a dangerous team to face. A team with a highly explosive offense that can run up the scoreboard very quickly.

Over the past several seasons, Daunte Culpepper and the Vikings offense have been in the top tier of all NFL teams in overall offensive statistics. Culpepper lead the NFL with 4717 total passing yards in the 2004-05 season , but his numbers were greatly overshadowed by Peyton Mannings stellar season in which he threw for 49 touchdown for the Colts.

There are many skeptics of the Randy Moss trade, believing the Vikings gave him away to easily. This may be so, but it was time for Randy to take his talent and abilities elsewhere. He was finished exulting these attributes for the Vikes. In all liklihood, Moss will have an outstanding year in Oakland, just as he did his first year in Minnesota.

A new team, a new city, a new reason to give everything he has. The half-hearted plays and care-free attitude Randy was notorious for in Minnesota over the past few seasons will not be accepted in Oakland. Raiders fans are the toughest in the league, and if they are unhappy with the way Moss is playing, they'll let him know. However, this is unlikely to happen, at least not for a while.

Picking up wide reciever Troy Williamson in the draft was an excellent choice. He is extremely fast, and will help Kelly Campbell and Nate Burleson maintain the Vikes dangerous offense. Also, after missing last season with knee surgery, the return of tight-end Jim Kleinsasser, North Dakota's finest, will also give Minnesota a much needed boost. Between him and Jermaine Wiggins, last season's surprise asset, first downs will be abundant and plentiful for all to enjoy.
