And then there were four. The race to become RealGM’s first ever Ultimate NFL Franchise Player is now much closer to being over with only four men still in contention. Your votes have helped Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Reggie Bush soar past the quarterfinals and into the semi-final round.

As they have in each of the previous rounds, the margins of victory become even smaller in the last round. Eli Manning made it into the semifinal round over Brian Urlacher, by a single vote! So make sure you make your voice heard, because every vote really does count! So far we’ve had nearly 10,000 votes cast in our first annual ‘Be an NFL GM Contest’ and interest has picked up as the tournament has progressed.

If you have followed the contest closely thus far, welcome back for the quarterfinals, but if you’re new to our contest - Don’t worry! If you want your inner-NFL GM voice heard, and you want a chance to win an NFL Retro Jersey courtesy of DistantReplays.com (a $300 value) all you have to do is make sure you check out RealGMFootball.com daily for each semi-final match-up!

You will have a chance to e-mail me with your prediction for each of the two semifinal match-ups this week. For example, the first semifinal match-up will pit New England’s Tom Brady against Peyton Manning of the Colts in a battle to become the AFC’s representative in our Franchise Cornerstone Super Bowl, which kicks off next week. In order to enter yourself in the running for the NFL Retro Jersey all you have to do is e-mail me at Andrew.Perna@RealGM.com with your pick.

If you think Peyton is a better player to build around than Brady just e-mail me letting me know your opinion, and you’ll be entered to win an NFL Retro Jersey courtesy of DistantReplays.com.

Schedule for the Semifinal Round

Aug. 31: Tom Brady, NE vs. Peyton Manning, IND (AFC Championship)
Sept. 4: Eli Manning, NYG vs. Reggie Bush, NO (NFC Championship)

I want to thank those of you who have voted, and participated, in our contest thus far. It has been most successful than I ever imagined it would be, and look for an NBA version of our Franchise Cornerstone Contest to kick off in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions regarding the contest, or anything at all please feel free to contact me via e-mail at Andrew.Perna@RealGM.com.
