Peyton May Have Record-Breaking Cap Number In 2009

ProFootballTalk - Peyton Manning's cap number will be $21.2 million in 2009, according to a report from ProFootballTalk.com.

This will likely the largest cap number ever for any NFL player and is fueled by a $14 million base salary.

A $21.2 million cap number accounts for more than 17 percent of the team’s total expected spending limit of $123 million in 2009.
