Push Inside Dallas Front Office To Cut Owens
14th January, 2009 - 7:47 pm
Dallas Morning News - On Wednesday's episode of Inside The NFL, Michael Lombardi speculated that the Terrell Owens era with the Cowboys could soon be coming to an end.

"TO is back in the news," said Lombardi. "He has a $3.1 million roster bonus due in March and there are a lot of people in the Dallas front office trying to push Jerry Jones to get him to save their team. They feel like if they can rid themselves of TO, they make their team much better. So there is a lot of pressure on Jerry Jones to make that decision.

"I would suspect in the next month before March comes around, I don't think TO is going to be a Cowboy."

Lombardi was asked why Dallas would be so eager to get rid of Owens.

"They want some team chemistry. Jason Garrett has basically said, 'Its going to be TO or it's going to be me. I am out looking for a head coaching job. I may get one of those head coaching jobs, but I just really can't co-exist with TO. You are going to have to make a decision." [READ]
