10th November, 2006 - 11:01 am
Cincinnati Enquirer - Bengals linebacker David Pollack is facing a doctor's appointment Dec. 13, at which point he will decide if he will play football again.

Pollack, who suffered a fracture of the C-6 vertebra in his neck Sept. 17 against Cleveland and was placed on injured reserve the next day.

"If I'm not more likely to get hurt again, then I'll play," said Pollack, who still wears a protective halo to get his neck in place.

"If I am, then I won't. Cut and dried. It's a very real possibility that I won't play again. At the end of it, if the doctor says I'm 5 percent more likely to get injured again, there's a 0 percent chance I'll ever play again. That's a fact." [READ]
