“The last time I talked to A.J. Smith, we agreed to stay in touch. We both have been using our time preparing for the draft. I don’t think the door is closed, but I wouldn’t say anything is imminent either,” Reinfeldt said.
The Chargers tendered Turner at the highest level ($2.35 million, first and third-round compensation) as a restricted free agent, but found no takers. Talk is that the Chargers might accept less than a first-round pick come draft day. There was a report that not only were the Titans and Buffalo Bills interested, but that as many as four other teams had inquired about Turner as well. [READ] |
