Favre Not Ready For Minicamp

PackersNews.com - Brett Favre's surgically repaired ankle is not strong enough for him to take part in the Green Bay Packers' minicamp next week.

It is not clear whether Favre will even attend the camp.

When Favre and coach Mike McCarthy planned the quarterback's offseason schedule, they included him attending the upcoming camp. However, that was before Favre decided to have surgery February 26 to remove bone spurs from his left ankle.

McCarthy had said that he's expecting Favre to attend the mandatory camp, but a source close to Favre told the Press-Gazette that Favre is not planning on attending because he prefers to work at home with a personal trainer to rehabilitate his ankle.

Favre's agent, Bus Cook, said he's not certain of his client's intentions.

"I don't know if he is or he isn't (going to attend)," Cook said. [READ]
