Dolphins' Porter Gets Fine, Avoids Suspension
20th July, 2007 - 9:23 am
Sun-Sentinel - Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter's eventful trip to a Las Vegas casino reportedly will only affect his wallet and not his playing status.

According to a report on the NFL Network, Porter is expected to be fined three game checks today after he was convicted of battery against Bengals tackle Levi Jones in a March fight in a casino. The report on the league's own TV channel said Porter won't receive a suspension, but he will lose a total of $141,176.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined comment, saying there was nothing to announce as of Thursday night. Dolphins spokesman Harvey Greene said the team cannot comment until an official announcement is made. [READ]
