Patriots Acquire Wesley From Chicago

Yahoo.com - The Patriots on Tuesday acquired cornerback Dante Wesley from the Bears for an undisclosed draft pick in 2008.

The Patriots were thin at the position due to the season-ending knee injury suffered by Chad Scott during practice and the continued holdout of Asante Samuel.

Wesley, 28, is entering his sixth NFL season and has played in 71 career regular-season games with two starts for the Panthers (2002-05) and Bears (2006). [READ]
