But for Belichick to escape Camera-gate without a suspension wasn’t sitting well with rival organizations yesterday, particularly since Belichick’s decision to use a camera on the sidelines flouted the rules and compromised the integrity of the game.
“They fined him the maximum allowed, so certainly no one has a problem with that,” one league insider said. “And they had to penalize the organization just to send the message that if a coach does this, everyone will be held accountable.
