| 30th September, 2007 - 6:07 pm |  ESPN - The Lions scored an NFL-record 34 points in the fourth quarter as they overcame the Chicago Bears 37-27 Sunday. Jon Kitna threw two touchdown passes in the final quarter as the Lions broke the previous record by three points.
Brian Griese, who had three interceptions as a starter in place of Rex Grossman, threw a 1-yard pass to Desmond Clark on a fourth down with 52 seconds left to pull the Bears within three.
However, the onside kick bounced to Detroit's Casey FitzSimmons and he returned it for a TD to seal the victory. [READ] |
