Source: Maroney Out Against Dallas

Boston Herald - Even though Patriots coach Bill Belichick listed him as a “game-time decision,” and many elements pointed toward a return to the field, running back Laurence Maroney will not play today in the showdown of unbeatens, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

While Maroney made the trip with the team Saturday, he will miss his third straight game with a groin injury, the source indicated.

That means the bulk of the running chores once again will fall on Sammy Morris, who has filled in more than admirably during Maroney’s absence. Morris will be going after his third straight 100-yard game. [READ]
