| 7th November, 2007 - 11:41 am |  Denver Post - Attorneys for the NFL have formally asked a federal court to throw out the lawsuit Broncos' running back Travis Henry has filed against the league.
The motion was electronically filed in a U.S. District court in New York. The motion was expected in the case that Henry hopes saves him from a one-year league suspension.
The NFL's agreement is centered on its substance-abuse policy. The attorneys argued that Henry's case should be kept inside the NFL's office because of its specific policy on drug cases as negotiated in the collective bargaining agreement between the players and the league and because Henry has not exhausted the league's grievance process.
The earliest the court case could be settled is by the end of this month. [READ] |
