Packers' DT Cole Sidelined With Broken Arm

ESPN - Green Bay defensive tackle Colin Cole, a part of the team's interior rotation, suffered a fractured left forearm in Thursday's victory at Detroit, further thinning a once-deep position and likely leaving the Packers with only two rookies as backups for next Thursday's key NFC matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Cole suffered the injury in the second half and left the locker room with his arm in a sling. It is not yet known if the three-year veteran will require surgery, or if he will be lost for the rest of the season. He has already been ruled out, though, for the Dallas game.

The injury to Cole, a solid player versus the run, came just a week after the Packers lost another defensive tackle Johnny Jolly to a shoulder injury that will sideline him for an indefinite period.

Green Bay started the season with six defensive tackles on its roster. But heading into the Thursday night game at Dallas, a battle for NFC supremacy between two teams with 10-1 records, the Packers are down to four healthy players at the tackle position. [READ]
