Super Bowl XLII Becomes Most Watched Ever

FoxSports - A record number of viewers tuned in to Super Bowl XLII to see the Patriots make history only to have the Giants spoil the opportunity.

Nielsen Media Research said Monday that 97.5 million people watched the game, beating the previous record of just over 94 million when the Cowboys defeated the Steelers in 1996.

Only one other show in American broadcast history was watched by more people, the "M-A-S-H" finale in 1983 which drew 106 million viewers. [READ]
