Chris Baker A Jets No-Show

The New York Daily News - Disgruntled tight end Chris Baker was a no-show at the Jets' first voluntary practice at Hofstra University on Monday, according to The New York Daily News.

Baker is boycotting the first offseason program because he's unhappy with his contract situation. He claims the Jets failed to fulfill a promise to renegotiate his contract this winter.

Coming off his best season, he is entering the third year of a four-year, $6.6 million contract.

Baker has requested a trade after his frustration increased when the team drafted a tight end Dustin Keller in the first round of last month's NFL Draft. [READ]
