Ditka, Sayers To Outline Retiree Benefits Plan

ESPN - Hall of Famers' Mike Ditka and Gale Sayers will announce a plan for doctors to donate medical care to retired NFL players on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.

Both players have been vocal in the plight of retired players whose careers left them with significant injuries and who cannot afford to pay for their medical care.

They will detail the plan on Tuesday, and the first four retirees that will be evaluated will be introduced, as well.

The union and the league have defended the disability system for retired players. [READ]
