| 4th June, 2008 - 5:52 pm |  The Cleveland Plain Dealer - The Browns are in no rush to extend the current contract of tight end Kellen Winslow, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"We don't have a lot of wiggle room right now at this particular time," Browns' General Manager Phil Savage said Tuesday night. "Only time will tell if it goes one direction or the other, but I think we've let it be known kind of where we are."
The team expects Winslow to show up for minicamp next week. "Of course, it's a mandatory camp, so the expectation is he'll be here," Savage said.
Winslow's deal has three years remaining at $4 million to $5 million per season. The reference point for Winslow's camp is believed to be the 6-year, $42 million deal signed recently by tight end Dallas Clark. [READ] |
