Tampa's Simms May Be Close To Being Cut

The Tampa Tribune - Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms may be close to being cut, according to The Tampa Tribune.

Simms has been asking for his release for quite some time, claiming that personal issues between himself and coach Jon Gruden have kept him from taking the field.

The team will need to cut roughly eight players in order to trim their roster to the mandated number of 80 between now and July 26, and Simms could very well be one of those cuts. [READ]
