Report: Steelers Release Davenport

NFL Network - The Steelers released running back Najeh Davenport Friday, according to a report on NFL Network.

Davenport, who played in 15 games for the Steelers last season, became expendable when Illinois running back Rashard Mendenhall was selected by the team in the first round of the NFL draft. [READ]
