Favre Threatening To Show Up This Week

Green Bay Press Gazette - Brett Favre is giving the Packers until Tuesday or Wednesday to work out a trade, or he will report to their training camp.

A source close to Favre confirmed reports on SI.com and ESPN.com that Favre planned to report to the Packers’ training camp Sunday but that General Manager Ted Thompson asked whether he’d wait a couple days to see whether he could make a trade to resolve the impasse.

“He doesn’t want to be a distraction to the guys,” the source close to Favre said, “but no matter what he does it will be a distraction. The last thing he wants is to hurt the guys, but if he wants to play he has to start practicing.” [READ]
