The Green Bay Press Gazette - Brett Favre and Packers' head Coach Mike McCarthy talked for several hours on Monday night about the quarterback's future with the team, according to The Green Bay Press Gazette.

The pair's conversation started around 6:00 p.m. and wasn't finished around 8:45 p.m., forcing the Packers to cancel a press conference scheduled for 8:15 p.m. to announce whether Favre would be allowed to compete for the team's starting job.
