| 27th August, 2008 - 5:10 pm |  Newsday - The Giants officially placed defensive end Osi Umenyiora on the injured reserve on Wednesday, ending his season on the same day he underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee, according to Newsday.
"The doctors were very pleased," Coach Tom Coughlin said. "The surgery went well. The knee looked good. The prognosis is very, very optimistic for a full recovery." [READ] |
