Forte Just Missed Being Drafted By Lions

Post-Tribune - Bears' running back Matt Forte narrowly missed being drafted by the Lions in this past April's NFL Draft.

Forte was selected 44th overall, one pick before the second selection by the Lions.

"I knew there were going to be a couple of us there," Forte said. "I just took it as a job interview. During the draft, I paid attention to see where the running backs were taken in the first round and where that left me at. I knew they were saying second round and maybe third round, things like that." [READ]
