Detroit Free Press - Lions' quarterback Dan Orlovsky could start for the team on Sunday against the Vikings if Jon Kitna isn't able to play because of a bad back.

Kitna suffered back spasms Sunday against Chicago and was replaced by Orlovsky in the second half.

"I think right now he is our quarterback going into Sunday, isn’t he?" receiver Mike Furrey said of Orlovsky. "I mean, that’s how we’re looking at it. That’s how he’s in the huddle right now and that’s how we’re respecting him. We’re getting ready to play with him."

Kitna had an MRI on Wednesday, but the results have not been released yet.

"We practiced Drew [Stanton] and Dan (practiced) as if he were playing," Offensive Coordinator Jim Colletto said, "and we’ll just see how it plays out by Saturday." [READ]
