Crennel: I Never Said Anderson Was On Short Leash

New York Post - Browns' Coach Romeo Crennel claims that he never said Derek Anderson was on a short leash after the team's rough start to the 2008 season.

"I never said that Anderson was on a short leash," Crennel said. "What I said is that Anderson is the quarterback, and [Brady] Quinn is going to be ready. That is what I said before the Cincinnati game, and that is what I said before this game."

Cleveland is 1-4 and heading into a Monday Night matchup with the undefeated New York Giants. [READ]
