Dallas Completes Deal For WR Roy Williams

NFL.com - The Lions have traded WR Roy Williams to the Cowboys for a first, third and sixth round pick. The Cowboys also receive a seventh-round pick from the Lions in 2009.

The Cowboys, according to ESPN, are attempting to negotiate a long term deal with Williams.

Jerry Jones views him as a potential long-term solution as the eventual replacement for aging Terrell Owens, according to another high-ranking Cowboys source that spoke with ESPN.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the Eagles also were interested in Williams. [READ]
