Helium Balloons Caused Power Outage In Buffalo

Democrat And Chronicle - Helium balloons with metallic tails released near Ralph Wilson Stadium became entangled in power lines Sunday, knocking out electricity at the Bills-Chargers' game.

Power went out about thirty minutes prior to the game, was restored in time for the kickoff, but then went out again about three minutes into the game.

After a 10-minute delay, play was resumed with officials keeping track of time on the field. Power was restored briefly in the second period then went out again.

It came on to stay with 8:35 left in the third quarter. [READ]
