Eagles' TE Celek Sets Record For Receiving

News Journal - Eagles' tight end Brent Celek set a team record with six catches for 131 yards in the team's win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

Celek made his third start of the season in place of L.J. Smith, breaking Keith Jackson's regular season record of 126 receiving yards for a tight end in the process.

"Honestly, I was a little bit surprised," Celek said. "Just the way the coverage was working out, I was able to get the ball a little bit. They were playing a lot of Cover-1 and some man-to-man. Donovan (McNabb) was throwing a great ball; the guys were picking up the blitz and allowing me to get open." [READ]
