Orlovsky Injury Could Pave Way For Culpepper

Detroit News - An injury to Lions' quarterback Dan Orlovsky could open the door for Daunte Culpepper to start for the team as soon as this Sunday against the Jaguars.

Orlovsky sprained the thumb on his throwing hand during the team's loss to the Bears this past Sunday.

"There was pain -- I just don't think it affected me," said Orlovsky, adding that X-rays taken Monday morning showed no fracture.

Orlovsky hopes to be able to resume practice Wednesday, but coach Rod Marinelli said he wasn't sure of his status. [READ]
