Tiki: Collins Almost Retired

Newsday - Former Giants' running back Tiki Barber, now an analyst, claims that Titans' quarterback Kerry Collins almost retired before the 2008 season.

"This last offseason, we were having lunch, and he told me, 'Tiki, I'm tired of being a backup. I think I might hang it up,' because he just wasn't getting an opportunity . . . "He's got that feeling he had five years ago when he was still with us, and he's starting to come back and he's playing great."

Tennessee is 10-0, and Collins took over for Vince Young early in the season as the team's starter. [READ]
